Phase diagram of the anisotropic triangular lattice Hubbard model

In a recent study [Phys. Rev. X 10, 021042 (2020)], we showed using large-scale density matrix renormalization group (DMRG) simulations on infinite cylinders that the triangular lattice Hubbard model has chiral spin liquid phase. this work, introduce hopping anisotropy in model, making one of three distinct bonds stronger or weaker compared with other two. We implement two inequivalent ways, which respects mirror symmetry cylinder and breaks symmetry. full range anisotropy, from square to weakly coupled one-dimensional chains, find variety phases. Near isotropic limit phases identified our previous work: metal, liquid, 120$^\circ$ spiral order; note paper suggests apparently metallic phase may actually be Luther-Emery would also agreement results. When bond is weakened by relatively small amount, ground state quickly becomes N\'{e}el order. strengthened, story much less clear, depending orientation circumference. While work knowledge first DMRG anisotropic overall diagram broadly consistent found previously methods, such as variational Monte Carlo dynamical mean field theory.
